Drummer and vocalist Robby Sinclair has established a reputation for his versatility while touring and recording with a wide variety of contemporary artists: from playing straight-ahead when serving as Jazz Ambassador to the U.S., to providing the deep, danceable pocket for Nick Murphy (FKA as Chet Faker), to earthy-alt country grooves for Matt Sucich, and soothing electronic beats for Alina Baraz.
Robby has extensive touring experience throughout the world with many different bands, as well as headlining slots at major festivals including Laneway, Paris Pitchfork, Sasquatch, Ultra, Crssd, Love Box, Lightning in a Bottle, Bonnaroo, Buku, Stagecoach, and more.
He leads the band Lazer Cake in which he sings, drums, and composes the music. As a writer, he has won awards for instrumentals and has had his music, drumming, and vocals placed on T.V. Having studied with Michael Carvin, Shawn Pelton, Billy Hart, Matt Wilson, and Howard Curtis, Robby brings a deep knowledge of drumming history to every musical situation. His proficiency of Ableton Live, triggers, and hybrid setups allows Robby to adapt to all of the intricacies a modern drummer faces today.
Robby resides in Los Angeles, CA with his wife Deborah.
